Linux, or better, GNU/Linux, is an open-source operating system composed by the kernel and a suite of system and application software that can run on a lot of different system architectures. In particular, GNU/Linux is one of the most widely adopted OSes on embedded systems, and all Dave platforms offer support for this operating system.
