Ethernet interface[edit | edit source]

RIALTO SBC has two Ethernet interfaces:

  • eth0 on J16
  • eth1 on J59

Description[edit | edit source]

The Ethernet interfaces are available at the connectors J16 and J59. Primary interface is on J16.

J16 and J59 are a RJ45 shielded connectors with dual led.

Ethernet 0 - J16 connector
Ethernet 1 - J59 connector

Signals[edit | edit source]

The following table describes the interface signals:

Pin# SOM Pin# Pin name Pin function Pin Notes
1,2,4,6,,7,8,10 - N.A. N.C. Not connected
3 J1.189 RS232_RX Receive line
3 J1.187 RS232_TX Transmit line
9 - DGND Ground

Device mapping[edit | edit source]

The network interfaces mapped as follows:

  • J16 is eth0 device in Linux.
  • J59 is eth1 device in Linux.

Device usage[edit | edit source]

The peripherals use the standard kernel interface and network protocol stack.
