Peripheral Industrial interfaces[edit | edit source]

The RZ/T2H SoC in the ZERO SOM has several hardware accelerators for industrial interfaces.

Description[edit | edit source]

The following industrial interfaces are available with their hardware accelerator.

ΔΣ interface[edit | edit source]

The ΔΣ interface (DSMIF) has:

  • 3 channels × 10 units
  • Selectable 2 inputs (U/V) or 3 inputs (U/V/W)
  • Up to 6 ΔΣ modulators are externally connectable
  • Sinc filter can be selected as first, second or third order
  • Direct error connection to POE3 and POEG
  • Enhancement of current error detection

Trigonometric function unit[edit | edit source]

The Trigonometric function unit (TFU) has:

  • 2 units
  • Calculation of sine, cosine, arctangent, hypot_k ( x2 +y2/k )
  • Simultaneous calculation of sine and cosine
  • Simultaneous calculation of arctangent and hypot_k

Encoder[edit | edit source]

The Encoder interface subsystem consists of EnDat 2.2 (ENDAT), BiSS-C (BISS), HIPERFACE DSL (HDSL), and A-format (AFMT). The I/O pins are shared with these modules.
