Thermal management[edit | edit source]

The ZERO SOM is designed to support the maximum available temperature range declared by the manufacturer.

The customer shall define and conduct a reasonable number of tests and verifications to qualify the DUT capabilities to manage the heat dissipation.

Any heatsink, fan etc shall be defined on case-by-case basis.

DAVE Embedded Systems' team is available for any additional information, please contact sales@dave.eu.

Thermal management guideline[edit | edit source]

Thermal management indications are available from this Renesas user guide.

As reported in the RZ/T2H User’s Hardware Manual, the temperature sensor unit (TSU) indicates the junction temperature and it is used to monitor the LSI junction temperature.

The TSU has a relative precision of: ±2°C (typ).
