Peripheral DCMI[edit | edit source]

The Digita CaMera Interface (DCMI) is a synchronous parallel interface able to receive a high-speed data flow from an external CMOS camera module.

Description[edit | edit source]

The DCMI interface available on ETRA SoM is based on STM32MP1 SoC.

The DCMI port supports the following standards and features:

  • 8-, 10-, 12- or 14-bit parallel interface
  • embedded/external line and frame synchronization
    • note that the VSYNC external signal is not available if the NAND flash is populated on board of the SoM
  • continuous or snapshot mode
  • crop feature
  • supports the following data formats:
    • 8/10/12/14-bit progressive video: either monochrome or raw bayer
    • YCbCr 4:2:2 progressive video
    • RGB 565 progressive video
    • compressed data: JPEG

Pin mapping[edit | edit source]

The Pin mapping is described in the Pinout table section
