The Watchdog device peripheral available on the Evaluation Kit is provided by the Maxim MAX6373. The Watchdog is a device that has to be constantly polled via GPIO to continue the normal operations, otherwise (in case of system freeze) it will reset the system.
The MAX6373 device has 3 configuration pins that allow to select the following:

To use the watchdog device toggle the <code>PA9</code> GPIO WDI pin at least once every 5 seconds.
