''TBD: se è presente un This chapter describes the technical specifications and features for the RTC specifico nel prodotto, riportare le ceratteristiche'' ''TBD: di seguito un esempio dell'RTC del modulo Bora''component on the MITO 8M module.
This chapter describes the technical specifications and features for the RTC component The Real Time Clock available on the MITO 8M moduleis based on iMX8M SoC.
=== Features ===
The MITO 8M module uses a 32.768kHz dedicated crystal in order to obtain an accurate time base for the RTC.
An on-board Maxim Integrated DS3232 device provides a very accurate, temperature-compensated real-time clock (=== Important note for RTC) resource with:* Temperature-compensated crystal oscillator* Date, time and calendar* Alarm capability* Backup during ''power from external battery* ±3.5ppm accuracy from -40°C to +85°C off'' ===* 236 Bytes On the MITO 8M module the SNVS voltage rails are obtained by the main supply of Battery-Backed SRAM * I²C Interface Backup power is provided through the RTC_VBAT signal: * on Bora it is connected to J2.113* on Bora Lite it is connected to J1SOM.22
If not usedFor this reason, RTC_VBAT must be externally connected there is no possibility to GND. For a detailed description of keep operative the CPU RTC characteristics, please refer when the SOM is not connected to the DS3232 datasheet3.3VIN power rail.
Use an external RTC with battery backup functionality if required.
